Chiharu Schaffer is a Kitchener-based graphic designer with specialized training in print production and prepress workflows. She holds a Graphic Design for Print and Digital Media certificate (Honours) from Humber Polytechnic, with focused coursework in preflight and file troubleshooting, CMYK colour management, colour separations, imposition, and print-ready output using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
With 3+ years of hands-on design experience, she has consistently prepared production-ready files for print — including multi-page catalogues, instructional manuals, packaging, and marketing collateral — with close attention to bleed, margins, typographic hierarchy, and output accuracy. She is comfortable working across both Mac and Windows environments and takes a detail-driven, quality-first approach to every project.
Outside of design, Chiharu has trained in Japanese calligraphy — a practice that has deepened her attention to proportion, spacing, and the craft behind every mark.
